This Gamelan Gong (also sometimes referred to
as a Wayang Gong) is a large gong with a
central raised boss. The tone is clear and
resonant, with less shimmer than other gongs,
giving several distinctly different sounds
depending on whether it is struck on the boss or
towards the edge of the gong. |
